Creative Reflections Studio
A weekly virtual art therapy studio to unwind, reflect, and explore creativity in a calm, supportive space.
Hosted by Miranda & Jillian.
Creative Reflections Studio is a weekly virtual art-based gathering hosted by counselling art therapy interns Miranda and Jillian. Each Wednesday evening, we come together in a calm, low-pressure space to slow down, reflect, and reconnect with yourself through creative expression.
Their facilitation style centres emotional safety, gentleness, and a warm, attuned presence, creating a soft container where you are welcome exactly as you are.
There is no expectation to “create something meaningful.” Your presence is enough.
Each gathering opens with a simple, theme-guided art invitation, followed by spacious time to create. You’re welcome to follow the prompt, work on your own project, or simply be with your materials in your own way. We then come together for optional reflection and gentle group sharing.
No art experience is required. This studio is meant to be a soft landing place, a calm, companioned space for your inner world.
While therapeutic in nature, Creative Reflections Studio is not a therapy group. It is a free, non-clinical community offering. No clinical services are provided, and no clinical records are created. This group is not eligible for insurance reimbursement. It is a supportive creative gathering focused on reflection, connection, and gentle meaning-making.
June Theme – Culmination & Illumination
June carries the fullness of early summer, longer days, warmth, visibility, and the feeling of something coming into bloom. What we have been tending over the past months now has shape, presence, and history.
As we move through our final month of Creative Reflections Studio before hiatus, we take time to honour the arc of this shared creative space and the individual journeys held within it. Through art-making, reflection, and gentle witnessing, we explore what it means to stand in our own light, gather meaning from what we’ve lived, and carry forward what continues to nourish us.
Rather than focusing on arrival or completion, June invites us to notice what has become more visible, more embodied, and more fully alive within us.
Like the height of summer light, this month offers space for illumination, integration, and gentle closure.
June 3 – Standing in Our Light
As the days grow longer and brighter, this gathering invites you to gently turn toward what has emerged within you over the past months. It can sometimes feel easier to focus on what still needs work than to fully acknowledge our growth, strength, or expansion. Through art-making, we’ll explore what it feels like to allow your own becoming to be seen, not as performance, but as presence.
What parts of you feel more visible now?
What happens when you allow yourself to fully inhabit the space you have created?
Intention: To honour visibility, growth, and what has already emerged.
June 10 – Harvest of Meaning
Every season leaves something with us. This gathering invites reflection on the inner shifts, insights, and experiences that have unfolded throughout the fall, winter, and spring months. Through art-making, we gently gather what feels meaningful, noticing what has taken root and how these experiences may now be shaping us. Rather than searching for conclusions, we practice noticing what has been quietly cultivated over time.
What have you gathered from this season of your life?
What meaning is beginning to reveal itself?
Intention: To gather and honour the inner resources and insights cultivated over time.
June 17 – Tending to Our Inner Fire
As summer energy grows, this week invites us to reflect on sustainability, warmth, and continuity. Through art-making, we’ll explore what helps us stay connected to ourselves and our creativity without moving into overwhelm or depletion. Rather than focusing on productivity, we turn toward steadiness, the small practices, rhythms, and supports that help keep our inner fire gently tended.
What helps you stay connected to yourself when life becomes busy?
What keeps your inner warmth alive?
Intention: To explore sustainable ways of carrying warmth, creativity, and self-connection forward.
June 24 – Culmination & Closing
This final gathering of Creative Reflections Studio invites us to honour endings as meaningful transitions. Over the past months, this space has held creativity, vulnerability, reflection, witnessing, and growth. Through art-making, you’re invited to create a personal “visual capsule,” a piece that holds the insights, memories, feelings, or shifts you wish to carry forward from this season. Together, we gently acknowledge what this space has meant and the ways it may continue to live within us beyond the group itself.
How has this journey shaped you?
What do you want to carry with you into your next season?
Intention: To honour completion, reflection, and gentle closure through art-making and shared witnessing.
A Note to Participants
This group is a welcoming and inclusive space for all. We value kindness, respect, and support for one another, and any behavior that disrupts this will not be permitted. We kindly ask that you only register if you’re confident you can attend. If plans change, please cancel to relesase your spot or let us know so we can offer your spot to someone else.
No-Show Policy:
If you register twice and fail to attend without prior notice, we will no longer hold a spot for you. As space is limited, this ensures that others have the opportunity to join. Thank you for helping us maintain a supportive, respectful environment.
Privacy + AI Recording Policy
To honor the privacy and sacred nature of our gatherings, Constellations Counselling does not permit the use of AI-based meeting tools or automated note-taking apps (such as Read.ai, Otter.ai, or Fathom) in any group or session. These apps can sometimes join meetings automatically when linked to a participant’s calendar or Zoom account even without the person’s awareness. To protect the confidentiality and integrity of our spaces, all attendees are asked to disable or disconnect any such tools before joining. Our circles and groups are intentionally human-only: grounded, creative, and private spaces where real presence matters.

What art supplies do I need to bring?
You’re welcome to bring any art supplies you enjoy working with, such as markers, paints, paper, or even digital tools. If you’d like to follow the weekly art directives, we’ll share a list of recommended materials in advance so you can prepare.

You are welcome to leave early if needed. We understand life happens, and we’re happy to have you join for as much time as you’re able.
Is this group therapy?
No, this is not a formal therapy group. This open studio is intended as a therapeutic space for creative self-expression and relaxation rather than intensive therapeutic work.
Do I need to have my camera on during the session?
To help foster a sense of safety and connection, we invite you to have your camera on during introductions. Once we transition into the creative portion, you’re welcome to adjust your camera to suit your comfort—some choose to show their artwork, others prefer a different angle or to turn their camera off completely. Sharing your colouring can add to the communal atmosphere, but it’s always your choice.
Will my art be shared with others during the group?
Sharing is completely optional. You’re welcome to discuss or show your work if you feel comfortable, but there’s no pressure to do so. This is your space to express yourself in whatever way feels best for you.
Do I need to have any art experience to join?
No art experience is required! This is a welcoming space where you can explore your creativity at your own pace. The emphasis is on expression and connection, not on artistic skill.
